I can't say I didn't see this coming but its still a sad day for sports car racing.
Only days after the announcement of this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans entry list, French newspaper Ouest-France reported news about Henri Pescarolo's team that may had been regretting to hear. ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Pescarolo Team was officially dissolved on Feb. 7 by the Le Mans Court of Commerce. The company, led by Henri Pescarolo himself, was registered on Dec. 16, 2010.
The reason for the closure was lack of assets.
The Le Mans-based operation last fielded entries in 2012, with mixed results in the 24-hour race. Efforts to return to the grid last year did not materialize.
